Professional Experience
As a financial advisor with more than 27 years of experience, I have been blessed to know so many good families and have become an essential part of their lives. I take pride in being a resource to them as life and retirement create both challenges and opportunities. My clients’ interests and objectives come first, above all else.
Whether you're approaching retirement or already enjoying it, I strive to provide clear guidance on how to make your money work for you—so you can focus on living the life you've earned. From income planning and asset allocation to tax-efficient strategies and legacy planning, I’m here to help you work towards a financial future that is secure and stress-free.
I believe that client service is going one of two ways: 800-number call centers with a different voice on the end of the line, or concierge-level service where the same smiling faces are on the other end of the line. Our entire service model is built on the concierge model.
Benjamin F. Edwards, with roots dating back to 1887, shares my commitment to clients. It’s a place where I am empowered to do what is right for clients, rather than work to meet arbitrary sales quotas or directives from the firm. There aren’t any cookie-cutter approaches to wealth management at Benjamin F. Edwards. They recognize—as I do—that the investment profiles of every individual and family are unique. Therefore, my role as a financial advisor is to get to know my clients, understand what their retirement goals are, and work to chart a course to accomplish them.

My Background
I was born and raised in Rowan County in Eastern Kentucky. I met my beautiful wife, Paula, 33 years ago, and we’ve lived in scenic Jessamine County for the past 16 years with our three children—Kaitlyn, Garrett, and Hayden—and our two pups, Gunnar and Josie. Whether it’s pottery, jewelry, or crafts, our daughter Kaitlyn stays busy creating beautiful treasures. Our son Hayden is currently training with the United States Air Force in Special Ops down in Texas, and our son Garrett is in his senior year at the University of Kentucky, set to graduate with a degree in Finance in the spring of 2026. Garrett will be joining our Elkhorn team summer of 2026!
We love to fish, hunt, hike, boat, and do anything that gets us outdoors. We’ve traveled across the country by car and enjoy visiting national parks or renting a home by the beach.
